What are you Attracting into your Life right now?

"Every thought vibrates, every thought radiates a signal, and every thought attracts a matching signal back.
We call that process the 'Law of Attraction'.

The Law of Attraction says: That which is like unto itself is drawn. And so, you might see the powerful Law of Attraction as a sort of a Universal manager that sees to it that all thoughts that match one another line up."
                                                                        - Ester & Jerry Hicks from Ask and It Is Given

So, are you liking what you are attracting in your life right now?

If the answer is no......maybe you must change some of your thoughts!!!

We don't attract from what we want.....We attract from who we are.

The Power of Having a Positive Attitude

Did you know that having a great attitude will have a great impact on being successful in life?

The secret is this: Whether you reach success of failure in life has little to do with your circumstances; it has much more to do with your attitude......with your courage .....with your choices!

Non-achievers blame their circumstances or other people for the failures in life. Winners rise above their circumstances.

So many people concentrate on the obstacles in front of them and often take a step back into their comfort zone.

Winners will always find a way to get around it, over it, or through the obstacles.

The obstacles in life are never there to stop us from reaching our dreams they are simple there to prove to us how badly we want to reach our dream.

Surround yourself with positive influences. When you are surrounded by negative thinkers, images, or materials, it is easy to get bogged down in hopelessness.

"If you want to soar with the eagles, you can't hang with the turkeys."

Read inspiring books and magazines. Listen to motivational recordings and speakers.
Every time I get into my car I always Listen to Tony Robbins, on my CD. It automatically puts me in a positive state.

Associate with positive like-minded people. Look for friends who feel good about themselves, people who have an attitude of gratitude. People who tear down others are not happy with themselves and are not good for your attitude.

"You are the same today that you are going to be in five years from now except for two things: the people with whom you associate and the books you read."

Do You Need a Life Coach

These days, a lot of people feel lost in their own lives and confused about their place in the world.

A lot of us feel unhappy, or overwhelmed with anxiety about what we can do to try to gain more control of where our lives are headed, wishing we would feel more confident, fulfilled....and calm.

People in these situations need direction and guidance from someone who isn't in the middle of their chaos - someone who can help them see the bigger picture of their lives and come up with a plan for creating and achieving their goals.

They Need a Life Coach!

You are NOT your Thoughts

Did you know that about 50 000 thoughts will pass through our heads per day and that 97 % of those thoughts are the same as yesterday.

Also the majority of those thoughts are negative and our unconscious thoughts shape many of the choices we make that keep us stuck.

Your mind is like a computer. If you tell your mind something, like a computer, it takes it at face value. If deep in your subconscious mind, you keep repeating or hearing negative words, the mind starts to believe them. This is why positive affirmations are so important in our lives.

Words are very powerful. I am sure that at some point in your life you have sad something hurtful to someone. You also know the experience of using your words to make someone feel better.

But what about all those negative things you are telling yourself, about yourself on a daily base, when no one else is listening. Be careful what you tell yourself , because your subconscious mind is  always listening. And if you are saying something long enough your subconscious mind will start to believe it.

So how can we change out negative though into some more positive and empowering ones?

First you have to become aware of your thoughts. Even write them down to understand how negative they are.

Become conscious of how many bad, depressing, stressful and anxiety-producing thought you have.

Replace those thoughts with new empowering thoughts that make you feel better.

Always write it down. When you see it written on a piece of paper you will be amazed at what you will find out.

The goal is simple. No matter where it originated, do not complete a negative sentence in your head about yourself anymore.

Always remember...

You are not your thoughts....You are the observer on your thoughts.

If you FEAR it....You must Do IT!

Did you know that courage is a muscle? You have to work it every day for it to get stronger.

"Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not absence of fear."   - Mark Twain

It is the same thing as working your biceps in the gym...in order for the muscle to get bigger and stronger you have to do you bicep curls....no way around it.

Why is that so many of us are conditioned to think that we are inadequate if we feel scared? being afraid is very normal emotion that we all have. What separates us is how we deal with that fear.

Instead of trying to eliminate fear.....develop more courage. Work your courage muscle on a daily base.

Courage is a muscle. Do something daily that scares you. Something that gets you out of your comfort zone.

Our lives are limited within the confines of our comfort zones. When we get out of our comfort zone, and become uncomfortable, we grow. And over time, the things that used to scare us....no longer seem to bother us anymore.

So what are you going to do the next time you are feeling FEAR? Are you going to push through...get out of your comfort zone and grow?

Or...are you going to play it safe and return to your comfort zone..... and stay the same?

"You must realize that fear is not real.
It is a product of thoughts you create.
Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real,
                                                            but fear is a choice."

Feel the Fear and do it anyway!

Great Book - The Alchemist

Have you read the book.......The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho?

I finally did and I loved it. I highly recommend it!

This is the story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who dreams of traveling the world in search of a treasure as extravagant as any ever found. From his home in Spain he journeys to the exotic markets of Tangiers and then into the Egyptian desert, where a fateful encounter with the alchemist awaits him.

The Alchemist is a transforming novel about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life's path and above all following your dreams.

The Alchemist is an exciting novel that bursts with optimism; it is the kind of novel that tells you that everything is possible as long as you really want it to happen.

Simple things are the most valuable and only wise people appreciate them.

Morning Success

Learn how to control your mornings.

Morning rituals allows you more time and energy to conquer the chaos that comes in the afternoon when other people bring their emergencies and drama.

Get up before anyone else and work on the number one priority in your morning magic hours and you will win your day.

Make a list the night before so you know exactly what needs to be done right away in the morning so you won't waste precious energy running around trying to figure out what you must do during the day. Start with the most complicated task first....get it out of the way.

Remove distractions.....TV, internet, social media or the phone.

Don't start your day with the news. It will send you down a downhill spiral of misery and frustration.

(And don't end your day with it either. Avoid listening or watching the news before you go to bed. I assure  you that you will have better sleep if you read a book or relax before bedtime.)

The best way to start the a "perfect day" is to attack something that is problematic, something that you are struggeling with .

It must be important. Chances are you want to procrastinate and to put if off, but those items are the ones you must start your day with.

The key to a perfect morning is making progress on a problem. You just have to move the project forward a little bit. Even if you just spend a half hour on it. The very fact that you started in it makes it more easy to to back to it and overcome it.

Are you fueling your body with healthy stuff?

Garbage in.......Garbage out!

What are you fueling your body on a regular base?
Healthy and nutritious food ....or food filled with sugar, fat and caffeine?

A lot of times we are more concerned about the fuel that we put in our cars than the fuel we are putting in our bodies.

When you feel better on the inside you have a tendency to make healthier choices in you life. Your outside world reflect the choices that you make daily. If you don't like what is going on around you right now...you might want to check into what is going on the inside!

Form Succesful Habits

"Quoting former Navy Seal Team six leader Richard Marcinko, you don't have to like it, you just have to do it!
Doing what need to be done even when it's the last thing you want to do, is the critical factor in achieving success."
                                                                          - Mike Mahler from Live Life Aggressively

"I hated every minute of training, but I said, Don't quit now. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion."
                                                                                                                     - Mohammed Ali

This is exactly what I told myself when I was out this morning, doing my daily 3-mile run.

Did I want to do this? The answer was ....No!............ but I did it anyway!

I knew it was good for me, and if I want to live a better and healthier life-style tomorrow.....I have to suffer today. I knew I didn't have to like, I just had to do it!!!!!

Remember, "Doing what needs to be done even when it is the last thing you want to do, is the critical factor in achieving success."

There is another word for it....... Self-Discipline.

The ability to make yourself do,
what you should do,
when you should do it,
whether you like it or not.

The key is to do it, when you don't feel like doing it!!!!

How about you? How is your Self-Discipline?

What do you "know" you need to do that you just don't "feel" like doing?

How about.......Just Do It!!!!

Focus on What is Right with YOU

A lot of times we are focusing on what is "wrong" with us. And we get plenty of help from people around us and also TV, internet and magazines that are always pointing out what is "wrong" with us.

Plenty of ads telling us what we need to look like...what we should do to change.....how we need to dress ...... . what to do to be more successful..... what we need to do and to look like to find the "perfect love" in our lives..... and what we must start doing, versus stop doing.

The world is full of messages telling us that we are not good enough or worthy of....(fill in the blank)

Seldom are we actually celebrating what is "right" with us. It is time to change this.
Today...it is time to start focusing on and celebrating  what is "right" with you.

We also allow old memories from the past to define who we are today.

Because this happened to me....I can't be happy. Because  I was born into a dysfunctional family......I can't find true love and a great career. Show me a functional family.

Don't allow the past to define who you are today.

Focus on what you have learned from the past. Rather than focusing on the pain of your past. Quickly reframe hurtful and bitter memories into reminders how much you have grown.

We don't have to thank the people from the past that have hurt us, or made our lives a living hell.
Hopefully you cut those people out of your lifer and are have a "no contact" policy, for good reasons.

You didn't give those people permission to hurt you but if you are constantly thinking about them and how much they have hurt you in the past you are allowing them to continue to hurt you in the present and also in the future. Forgiveness is the key. Forgive yourself and then move on. Don't give those people and experiences power and permission to continue to hurt you.

You have a choice...let it go!!!

Reframe your memories.

Would you be as strong today if these people wouldn't have hurt you? Would you be as compassionate or liberated, as you are right now without the experience?

If I wouldn't have meet my ex-partner and had to go through narcissistic abuse for several years...I wouldn't have become a life coach..... now specializing in helping women to get back on track after life has knocked them down.

It doesn't take much imagination. I wouldn't be where I am today if I had not met my first husband, my narcissistic partner, moved to Texas from Sweden. My life experience and my memories forced me to take action.

If you are still in trauma, use your memory of the future to imagine an empowered life and start living it with every step and decision.
This too shall pass!
But not necessarily by itself. It might need a little help from you, and why wait. Start now, create memories now that will fill your mind with your own power to choose.

And don't forget to always focus on.....What is right with you!
You are a strong, empowered human being and you are able to create anything you desire and dream of in your own life.

Become the Star in your Own Movie!

How about a Daily Nap!

After air , food and water, sleep is the most critical necessity for maintaining the body's vital organs and systems......

"Study after study has found that decreased levels of nocturnal sleep are associated with increased risk of breast cancer and colon cancer, as well as disregulations of hormones that control appetite.
It's about time for our surgeon generals, who rightly warn us about the evils of cigarette smoking, to put a little effort in raising consciousness about the dangers of sleep loss."

                                                            - Sara C. Mednick from Take a Nap, Change Your Life!

So losing sleep is dangerous to our health!

What are the benefits of getting adequate sleep and also getting daily naps?

Here are a few reasons you should consider sneaking in a daily nap or two!

1. Increase your alertness

2. Improve your perception

3. Lose weight

4. Reduce the risk of diabetes

5. Reduce stress

6. Elevate your mood

7. Improve your stamina

8. Help your memory

9. Boost creativity

10. Reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke

Have you been convinced yet to take a daily nap (or two)?

"We do not understand the need for sleep and the consequences of sleep deprivation. We must learn to value sleep as much as we value the importance of proper nutrition and exercise.
To become peak performers we must change our habits so we can emerge from the fog of sleepiness in which we have become habituated. We must learn to "Power Sleep".

Are You Sleeping Enough?

The scientific reality is simple: If you need caffeine to get through the day, you are sleep deprived.

I've beaten this one to death over the years and can't say enough about the importance of sleep to increasing your emotional intelligence and managing your stress levels.

When you sleep, your brain literally recharges, shuffling through the day's memories and storing or discarding them, so that you can wake up alert and clear-headed.

Your self-control, attention and memories are all reduced when you don't get enough - or the right kind - of sleep.

Sleep deprivation raises stress hormone levels on it's own, even without a stressor present.

Stressful projects often make you feel as if you have no time to sleep, but taking the time to get a decent night's sleep is often the one thing keeping you from getting things under control.

Not only do we feel groggy and measurably less productive at everything we do, when we deprive ourselves of the sleep we need we're increasing our risk of getting cancer.

Inadequate sleep is dangerous.

What To Do When You Worry

Do you worry a lot? Did you know that 90% of the things we worry about will never happen.

Here are a few tips on how to stop worry.

1. Don't worry alone

2. Toxic worry is often rooted in false information. 90% of what you worry about won't happen.

3. Make a plan. You will feel less vulnerable, more effective and more in control.

4. Find a trusted friend to worry with. Worrying with a friend will most likely turn into problem solving and brainstorming.

It is Never too Late to Change Your Life

Transitions are inevitable - Life is full of them.

Whether or not you embrace transitions has a lot to do with the level of joy you are experiencing.

When you view your transitions as opportunities to grow you have found one of the special secrets to claiming joy in your life.

We are created to grow and expand in life but sometimes that isn't always the easiest and most exciting thing.
Especially when we are facing hardships, disappointments and loss.

Sometimes we are being forced to let go and at the same time we are getting pushed into our purpose.

This is exactly what happened to me in 2012. I was in a terrible dysfunctional and abusive relationship. I had stayed way to long and put up with way too much abuse from my partner, but as for most of us change is very scary.
Change for my included leaving the US, where I had lived for the past 25 years, and go back to Sweden with my 2 dogs and 2 suitcases. Change felt almost impossible for me. But I also couldn't stay because the abuse had reached dangerous levels.

So when staying gets to be scarier than the change.....we either do something voluntarily or we will get pushed or pulled out of there.

I felt like I finally got forced out of the situation because I didn't want to make a decision on my own.
I wasn't growing or expanding where I was. In other words I felt stuck and I felt I had no way out.

Are you facing a dead end job right now? or maybe a relationship/ marriage that has been dead for years? Maybe you have outgrown your closest friend or family-members or maybe it is time to move to a new city?

Whatever it is for you......Are you ready to make a change so that you can fulfill your purpose in life?
Or are you going to settle for no more growth and expansion and not fulfilling your heart's desire and your purpose?

You are where you are right now....but you can change!

Remember this is not a dress rehearsal this is it!!!! We don't get a second chance to live our lives.

For me leaving in 2012 worked out very well. I have now become a certified Life Coach and I have my own on-line coaching business. In these past 3 years since I left my abusive relationship I have learned so much and I have created a whole new life for myself.

If I would have settled for where I was 3 years ago....my life would have been terrible. And I know if I would have stayed I would not have become a Life Coach and created my own on-line business.

I know change and growth is scary.....But what is even scarier is remaining the same for the rest of our lives.

Don't settle ...... and don't die with the music still in you!!!!!

How is Your Exercise?

It is known that exercise releases "feel good" hormones like serotonin, that makes you feel happier.

Now a study has revealed that exercise can be more effective than anti-depressants.

                                                            Food For Thought

Many clinical trials show that people with major depression who regular exercise get better at the same rate as they do with anti-depressants.

Research findings show exercise can be just as effective as anti-depressants for the treatment of depression and in some cases even better.

I know that I have always enjoyed walking and moving my body when I have been feeling sad, stressed, depressed or anxious.

I am also lucky to have two walking partners.....my 2 dogs Nikki and Lady.
They are always willing to walk and that keeps me going every day, including some of the days when I feel down and don't want to move.

Dogs are great because they are always happy and ready to go........no matter what!!!!

"All of the sitting of modern life is an outright denial of true nature. We are animals, after all. We are evolved to run and jump and climb, throw spears, fight and dance.
Our bodies were built to move - that's why we have brains in the first place - yet somehow we ended up sitting for hours on end.
Exercise is the best defense you have against anxiety, stress, depression, and a whole host of diseases.
It helps cells repair themselves, and it quite literally heals the effects of stress through the release of something called brain-derived neurotrophic factor, or BNDF. Researchers have found, not surprisingly, that when students exercise regularly, their stress levels drop. Upset? Stressed? Mad? Run.
Still feel that way? Run faster. You've got nothing to lose but weight and stress. Regular exercise is just as effective as drugs for controlling panic disorders. No wonder employees who exercise call in sick fewer days than employees who don't."
Joe De Sena from Spartan Up!

How is your exercise?

Maybe you need to start a daily exercise routine?

Maybe Today is the day to make exercise a priority?

TIP!

Break exercise up into small, useful steps.
When you are on the couch, there may be no way you are going to get up and go running.
But if you get up and put on your workout clothes, you'll feel...."I may as well move a bit, and then decide to go outside."

These small gains keep a person going, which is important because we're working against poor motivation and the feeling that nothing matters.

Start small......Baby steps!

Start Today!

Why Change is so Difficult

Is it time to change something in your life?

Is there something that isn't working right now?

You know deep down inside that change is necessary in order for you to move to the next level in you life....but still you simply just refuse to address it....You put off making a decision to another day.

Most of the time we don't want to make a true decision, because if we do....we have to act on it!

                                        "When one door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not
see the one which has been opened for us."
                                                                    - Helen Keller

It's true! One door does not close without another door opening - it's the hallway between the two that is a challenge.
Sometimes, when the door of happiness gets slammed in out face it is appropriate to allow ourselves space to process and grieve the apparent loss. The practice is to know when it's appropriate to let go and move on.
The hallways are passages; we were not born to live in them but to move through them.

Today, may your eyes be focused on the wonderful possibilities that lie just beyond the next door, rather than starring at what "has been." Turn and face the open door.
Trust and know it is there if you are willing to see it.....and then step through that portal to your next "yet to be."

"You can't start the next chapter of your life
if you keep re-reading the last one."
