Take Care of Your Health

                                                       "Take care of your body.
It´s the only place you have to live."
                                                              - Jim Rohn

If you had a racehorse that was worth a million dollars, how would you take care of it?
Would you let it drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, eat junk-food and stay up all night and not getting enough sleep?

Would you treat a million dollar investment like that?
I didn´t think so. I bet you would take excellent care of it.

How about this billion dollar body of yours?
Are you taking good care of this huge billion dollar investment?
This is the only body that you will have.
Do you treat it with care and love or do you neglect it?

Make sure that you take care of your health.

Here are a few simple steps.

Eat a balanced diet.
What you eat affects your productivity in a lot of different ways.
We must fuel our bodies with a well balanced diet and keep out poisons like cigarettes, too much alcohol and caffeine. Also try to stay away from too much sugar in your diet.

Exercise.
Working out is a great way for relieving stress and also to distract us from daily pressures and at the same time getting fit.
An exercise program will make a dramatic difference in your life.
Choose the exercise that will fit your lifestyle and one that you will enjoy doing. The important thing is that you will make it a daily habit. Don´t become a weekend warrior and end up hurt and in serious trouble. Be sensible about your routine.

We are all very busy and a lot of you might ask....When will I have time to exercise?

When you exercise your body will get flooded with endorphins and these endorphins are more powerful than morphine
The result is that you will get a natural chemical high that will last for several hours and during this time you will be more productive, creative and energetic than you would have been if you didn't exercise.
Schedule 30-60 minutes of exercise 4-6 times per week
Treat your workout as an essential aspect of your success.
Invest a few minutes in working out and you will get back hours of energy.

Sleep.
You need a certain amount of sleep every night. 7-9 hours is recommended.
Sleep deprivation has been linked to higher levels of stress, higher blood pressure and lower brain function.
If sleep is cut short the body doesn´t have time to complete all of the phases needed for muscle repair, memory consolidation, creative connections, and your brain won´t have enough time to clean out toxins.

A few tips!

- Stick to a regular sleep schedule, including the weekend.
- Create definite work hours.
- Give yourself enough time to unwind after finishing work.
- Get up when your alarm goes off. Resist the temptation to stay in bed.
- Avoid eating at least 2 hours before going to bed.

Another great thing that the brain can do is to process information and prepare for actions during sleep......so make sure you get your ZZZZs
