Rather that focusing on what we don't have in our lives...perhaps we should instead acknowledge that there is so much to be grateful for in our lives that has nothing to do with money.
Our health, clean water to drink and shower in, a roof over our head, food in the grocery store, roads to drive on, freedom, friends, opportunities, cats & dogs, having a job, a walk in nature.
Did you know that almost half of the world or more than 3 billion people, live on less than $2.50 per day?
How much did you spend on your cup of coffee at Starbucks today? I bet it was more than $2.50.
It is so easy to lose track of all the wonderful things that we already have.
If we don't consciously do something every day to plant the "right seeds" in our minds.....gratitude, love, courage.....
then the "weeds"....anger, resentment, stress, envy will tend to creep in.
You don't have to plant the weeds, the will show up automatically
But you do have to plant and take care of the seeds on a daily base.
You alone decide on what to focus on a daily base. You decide on what thoughts and beliefs you allow into your life.
You have to guard your mind every day and be careful on what seeds you plant and make sure that the weeds of life don't take root.
