Knowledge is not power, it is only potential.
Applying that knowledge is power.
Understanding why and when to apply
that knowledge is wisdom.
We all want to have better lives.
We go to seminars, read books, listen to podcasts and videos on YouTube, share quotes and words of inspiration on social media to get inspired and motivated. We learn new strategies from the people that have gone before us and that is now sharing with us know how they did it.
We all want to get inspired, motivated and empowered.
I do too.
But what do you do with all that inspiration, motivation and empowerment? What do you do with all that knowledge and wisdom that you have picked up for years?
Do you actually put into good use in your own life to make it better and also to help others and the world?
Do you use it as a pick-me-upper when you are feeling down?
Do you believe that positing, sharing and liking positive quotes on social media will make you more empowered, inspired and motivated?
I am sure it does. But here is my question.....are you actually reading, learning and really understanding the message in the quote? Are you reflection on what it means and are you applying it in you own life?
Sharing quotes and positive sayings is a great way to uplift yourself and others but it won't change your life unless you put it into some kind of action for yourself.
It's like watching people exercise on TV and believe that you will get in shape simply by watching and maybe sharing the video with others.
You have to apply.
"You are what you do,
not what you say you'll do."
- Carl Gustav Jung
How many self help books have you bought in your lifetime? Did you apply any of the strategies and ideas from the books? Did you even read the books or did you do what the majority of people do.....they didn't make it to the second chapter before they put the book away, only to become shelf help instead of self help.
How about all the courses that you bought and attended....did you apply the strategies on how to improve your life?
Maybe you tried for a few weeks but then you gave up because you didn't notice anything changing? Or you decided to NOT take action because you were afraid that you were going to look stupid or fail?
How about all the blogs, articles and podcasts that you have read and listened to?
What did you do with what you learned?
They say that knowledge is power. Yes, it's true.....but you have to apply what you learn.
Knowledge is potential power, but you have to take action.
ACTION is POWER.
