We Are Each Responsible For Our Own Life

"We are each responsible for our own life,
no other person is or can ever be."
                                                                      - Oprah

As human beings we have a tendency to take responsibility for the good things that happened in our lives and we blame unfavorable things on others or circumstances.

Do you know any person that likes to blame their misery or failures on someone else?

I am sure you do. Or maybe you are that person that is usually blaming someone else or you blame circumstances when things go wrong in your life?

My boss makes me miserable. My parents did not support me when I was a kid. My brother beat me up all the time when we were growing up . The economy is to blame for my financial problems. My spouse is never there for me. My kids drive me crazy.

Throughout my life I have met many men and women who are still grumbling and complaining about earlier unhappy experience in their lives. They are blaming their problems on other people and circumstances. They are angry with parents, siblings, bosses, ex-spouses, children and friends. And when they talk about the past you can see that they are still fuming over these people.
Unfortunately these people are trapped in the past and they can't get free. They are living behind invisible prison doors.

The problem is that every time you blame someone else or make excuses, you are giving away your power. You automatically get weakened and diminished.
If you are not able to take personal responsibility, no progress is possible and you will remain stuck where you are.

"The choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility."
                                                             - Eleanor Roosevelt

Accept total responsibility for your life and you will be amazed what a difference it will make.
Set yourself free by letting go of blame.

I know there are times when our lives are significantly influenced by outside forces. Like losing a job due to downsizing or poor economy
I also know that there are a lot of really bad people out there doing really bad things, but blaming someone or something that happened to you isn't going to help you. Actually you will remain attached to this person for the rest of your life if you don't stop talking about them and  stop blaming them. You will remain a prisoner in a prison that you have created yourself.

If the problem is poor personal relationships, addiction, poor health, overspending, joblessness or excess weight..... the minute you say....I am responsible....you reclaim your own power.

People might have been really bad to you and caused you a lot of pain. Your parents were really bad role models, your ex-spouse was abusive to you. Yes, at this time you were a victim and it wasn't your fault. But it's up to you to do something about the situation. Remaining a victim won't create change.
You have the power to take responsibility for what actions you choose to take. It's when you focus on what you can do and how you should act that you gain power.

                                                   "Accept responsibility for your life.
Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go,
                                                                    no one else."
                                                                    - Les Brown

Stress Less - Weigh Less

"The greatest weapon against stress is
our ability to choose one thought over another."
                                                                  - William James

Nothing is permanent.
Don't stress yourself too much because no matter how bad the situation is.....it will change.

Do you feel like you are a victim of your hurry and worry lifestyle?
Here are a few practices to optimize your mind, spirit and your body.
It only takes one idea to change your life and today I will give several ideas that you can implement to your life to feel better right away.

Change Out Toxic and Dis-Empowering Thoughts.

It all starts with your own thoughts. Whatever your thoughts are your body will follow. Whatever you are thinking you will feel in your body, whether it is true or not. Your mind is very powerful and you have to make sure that you use it the right way.
Unfortunately toxic thoughts are everywhere and we've all got them. My questions to you is.....how much do you believe your own toxic thoughts?
Positive people don't buy into those toxic thoughts instead they turn those negative thoughts into allies.

How do we do this?
First have the courage to identify and describe the toxic belief you have about yourself, another person or a situation. I always recommend to get the thought and belief out of your head and put it on a piece of paper and then confront the belief.
Ask yourself.....is this really the truth?

Now when you have identified the negative thought it's time to re-phrase that thought or belief into a positive phrase or statement instead.

Finally, repeat the newly claimed positive statement or phrase over and over again until you feel it to be true.
It will take some effort but it will work.

Stop Worrying
Worrying is a waste of your precious time. Worrying is stressful and it increases the body's production of cortisol. Cortisol is a stress hormone and we don't want to increase it in the body by worrying excessively.
Instead focus on how to decrease your stress level.

Ask yourself.....what can I do to reduce the stress in my life?
Take all the time and the energy that you used to put into worrying and put it into finding some great exercises that can help you relieve some of the stress.
Overthinking only complicates your life. Think less to limit stress.

Eat Right

There are plenty of food that can stress and inflame your system which will cause your body to bloat, retain fluids and it can also create a variety of allergic reactions.
A few example of foods to limit or completely stay away from. Processed and refined foods, food high in sugar or sodium, caffeine, alcohol.

You might also want to get some blood work done to see what specific foods you might be allergic to in an effort to decrease the inflammatory response that food can have on the immune system.
(I am allergic to gluten and I stay away from it all the time because it will upset my digestive system and cause bloating and other uncomfortable symptoms in my body).

Eat a healthy diet of vegetables and fruits, whole grains, healthy fats, nuts and fish.
Stay away from any food that will leave your body inflamed.

Exercise

Most of us know that doing some kind of exercise on a daily base is an important component in feeling good and also in shedding unwanted pounds.
One thing that I believe is that you have to find some kind of exercise that you enjoy doing, or it will be difficult for you to maintain the habit.

Find a workout buddy is another way to keep yourself on track. Especially in the beginning when motivation and willpower might be in short supply.
Keep a workout journal to keep yourself on track.

Don't be a "weekend hero" at the gym either. Doing this might be setting yourself up for some kind of physical injury and you end up on the couch recuperating for several weeks.
Stress the body just enough so that the body adapts to higher degrees of performance.

Sleep

A good night sleep will help your body to regenerate, rebuild and restore.
Develop a good sleep hygiene. Dark and cold bedroom, no electronics, don't exercise right before bedtime and don't eat or drink anything before you go to bed. Stay away from alcohol. It has a tendency to help you feel relaxed and sleepy but in a couple of hours it will wake you up and it will then keep you awake.
Have some kind of sleep routine before you go to be. Examples of this can be.....

A gratitude journal or any kind of journal.
Some kind of mediation that will work for you.( I mediate with my two dogs for 15 minutes right before bedtime. We call it "Snuggle Time" and we all three love it.)
Listen to some calm and relaxing music.
Read a book
Here - come up with your own______________________________

Learn To Say NO

It's OK to say NO to requests for your time.
A lot of people are stressed because they are overextending themselves and they will constantly walk around with a feeling over overwhelm.
You can do it all, but you don't have to do it all. If you identify with this it's time to get to know the power of "NO".

Learn to put yourself first. I know this is hard for many people, especially women that have grown accustoms to putting the family's needs above their own. But we must realize that we are not good to others if we are worn out all the time and out of touch with ourselves, our health, vitality and passion.
Learn to set boundaries when it comes to giving away your time too freely. Yes, I know that it takes courage to start putting your foot down and in the beginning. Some people might get upset with you, especially if you have been a "YES" person for a long time.
But in the end they will respect you for standing up for yourself.

When you start taking care of yourself you start feeling better, you start looking better and you also start to attract better.

Smile

Never underestimate the power of a smile.
When you smile it will automatically change the vibration in your body. Smiling will make you feel great. If you haven't used your smile for a while.....it's time to bring it out again and start using it. The more you use it, the better you will feel and other people around will start to respond positively to you. Use your smile often because you can never run out of smiles.

Everyone is equipped with a smile. If you meet someone without a smile, give them one of yours.
Never leave your home without one and don't forget to bring one home with you.

Hugs are great too. A hug is guaranteed to lower you stress level right away and it will give you a warm feeling of wellbeing. It will make you feel like everything will be just fine.

Try some of these easy solutions.
You can implement them right away to curb your stress and melt off excess pounds.

It's Never Too Late To Change Your Life

"Never be afraid to start over.
It's a chance to rebuild your life
the way you wanted all along."

Have you been doing the same thing for a long time?

Is it working out for you?

Doing what works, requires insight and also courage.

It is a lot easier to keep doing exactly what you have been doing for a while.

Changing something means that you have to get out of your comfort zone and that can be very frightening and darn uncomfortable.

But if you want something different, then you have to do something different. You can't keep on doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Today you might want to slow down and take a look at yourself and ask.....
How are things working out for me?

And if you don't like the answer.....things are not working out for you.....then it might be time for a change?

And if you want something you've never had, you've got to do something new.
You've got to stretch and grow.

Today.....start to challenge yourself to do things that you've never done before.

                                                     It's time for a change.
                                                            New energy.
                                                          New attitudes.

Are You In The Process Of Getting Where You Want To Go?

                                                           "If you want something.
                                                                      Go get it.
                                                                       period.
                                                                 - Will Smith

Are you a person that is in the process of getting where you want to go?

If you are on a journey of bridging the gap from where you are today to where you want to be in the future, here are a few simple rules!

First you must decide exactly what it is that you want to accomplish. Be crystal clear.
Describe in detail your objectives.

Then figure out a plan or strategy how to reach your goal. How are you going to get there?
Put the plan in writing and study your plan on a daily base.

Avoid people that tell that you can't do it, or that it can't be done.
These people will never take a risk in their life. They are stuck in their comfort zone either because of fear, laziness or both.
Maybe you are trying to accomplish something that they themselves have been trying to do for years and they see you as a reminder of their own failure and lack of effort.
Stay away from these people. They are dream killers.

Get yourself a mentor to guide you on your way to crossing the bridge from where you are today to where you want to be tomorrow.

To Your Success,
Karin

Letting Go To Move Forward

"I'm learning how to walk away from situations and people
who threaten my peace of mind, self-respect, or self-worth."

I am confidently saying "NO" and without guilt to things and people that consume my time and energy.....and it feels great.

How about you?

Are you doing something right now, that isn't serving you?
If you are.....get rid of it!

If you want to make something to happen or to make some changes in your life.....you must create a vacuum.

Once you have created a vacuum you have now made room for something bigger and better to move into your life.
Something that is more in alignment with what you want and what you are trying to accomplish with your life.

But first you have to create the space for something new to move in.
Don't be afraid to let things and people go that don't longer serve you and your dream.

A Few Great Questions To ask Yourself

What is weighing you down right now?

What do you need to do away with today, to improve your life?

Why are you afraid of letting go of some people/things?

What is the worst thing that can happen if you let go of something or someone?

What is draining your mental/physical energy?

"If you want greater prosperity in your life,
start forming a vacuum to receive it."

Money and Thoughts

"Too many people spend money they haven't earned,
to buy things they don't want,
to impress people they don't like."
                                                                     - Will Rogers

Everything around us is energy.
We live in a vibrating Universe.

You are energy and I am energy and we all vibrate.
The only difference is that we vibrate at different levels.
Some vibrate at a higher level and some at a lower level.

Your thoughts are energy.
Your thought are energy and depending on what you allow to occupy your mind your vibration is in accordance with your thoughts.

If the majority of your thought are that on fear, anger revenge or jealousy your vibration will be of a lower level.

The opposite is also true. If the majority of your thoughts are on joy, love, gratitude and growth, your vibration will be of a higher level.

Money is also energy.

Money and thoughts are both energy.
Are you wasting your money?
Are you wasting your thoughts?

Do you waste your money on things that you really don't want?

How many thought are you wasting daily on things you don't want to show up in your life?

Time to look at where you waste money and where you waste your thoughts.

Since it's all energy maybe it's time to stop wasting energy on things that you don't want in your life?

Why Are You Waiting?

                                                              You are what you do,
not what you say you'll do.

What do you really, really, really want?

Do you know?

If you know what you want or maybe you need to figure it it......are you ready to commit to achieving it?

When you decide to do something and you are committed to achieving it, you will cut yourself off from any other thing.

If you have decided on pursuing a great goal, the worst thing you can do is nothing.

                                                                    "Don't wait.
The time will never be right."
                                                                - Napoleon Hill

Do something TODAY, that will bring you closer to your goal. It doesn't matter how small of an action step,  make one that will get you going in the right direction.

You know, you can get it.

"The future depends on what you do today."
                                                                - Gandhi

Are You Happy?

                                               "Happiness is a journey...not a destination."
                                                                - Ben Sweetland

Are you happy?

Do you even know what will make you happy?

When people are being asked what they want, most of them answer..... happiness.
They want to be happy.

I want to be happy too and I am sure you do too.

But then here is the second question, what will make you happy?
What does happiness look like to you?

Most people can't answer this question.

They know what will make then unhappy, but not what would make them happy.

My question to you is.....how will you ever be happy if you don't know what happiness looks like to you?

Now, it's different for everyone of us. But what is it for you?

How are you ever going to be able to create happiness in your life if you don't know what it is?

By the way, happiness is an inside job. It has to be created from the inside if you want it to last

And yes, happiness is a muscle. The more you use it......the happier you will be.

Now let's try this again...….What will make you happy?

And what are you going to do to be able to create it?

Remember....the more you practice being happy, the happier you will get and the more happiness you will attract into your life.

Tip!
Do things that will make you happy!!!

Your Life Changes The Moment You Make A Committed Decision

"Your life changes the moment you
make a new, congruent, and committed decision."
                                                              - Tony Robbins.

When was the last time that you made a true and committed decision?

And I don't mean a decision on what to wear or what restaurant to go to.

A real decision that would have a great impact on your present and also your future?

I bet you can't even remember the last you did this.

"It's in the moment of your decisions
                                                      that your destiny is shaped."
                                                                - Tony Robbins

Most people don't make decisions about their life because they don't see how they are going to get there.
Instead they keep on doing things that they can see how they are going to get there and that is why their life really never changes.

Make that decision today that you have been putting off for some time.
Get out of your comfort zone and create a vision that will make you grow, something that will force you to start taking action today.

Make the decision!!!

If You Stay Stuck In The Past, No One Will Stay There With You

"If you keep telling the same sad, small story,
you will keep living the same sad, small life."

We all have stories to tell.
But sometimes we get stuck on telling the same story over and over and over again.

It really doesn't matter what happens to you.
What matters is, what are you going to do about it?
What are you going to do NOW?

How long are you going to tell everybody at the bus stop, at work, in the line at the grocery store, at parties, at family gatherings or to anyone that would stand still and listen to you?

How long are you going to repeat the same story? How many times do we have to hear it?

Don't go around telling everybody your story.
80% don't care and 20% are glad that it's you and not them.

We to a great extent behave, think, react because of some previous experience we have had.

A close friend of mine allowed his tragedy to destroy him. His own mother wasn't there for him when he was a child and he said that his mother had made him so miserable and that he was going to pay her back. Now he took this attitude to other relationships. Especially relationships with women, looking for something to go wrong. He had gotten so burned by his own mother that he didn't want to risk pain again. When the relationship became too close, he would do something to make sure that the relationship did not work. He would always try to find something wrong with the other person.
Since no one is perfect it won't be hard to find faults with another person.
What was going on here?
He was stuck on revenge.

Another friend of mine realized that her husband didn't love her as much as she loved him. He left her for another woman. She got a divorce but even when she got married again she kept on telling her story. Every time I came over to her house she kept on repeating the same story of how her ex-husband cheated on her and left her for another woman. She kept telling her story about how her ex mistreated her. How long do you think her second marriage lasted? Not very long.
What was going on here?
She was stuck in anger.

I once had a neighbor. She had gotten some illness some years back, but when I talked to her it sounded like she was still in the middle of it. Every time I ran into her she would tell me the same story over and over again. She would tell me all the reason why she couldn't do anything and how this illness totally had destroyed her life. The only thing she could do today was sleep late, sit around her house all day watching TV and spend her evenings gossiping on the phone.
What was going on here?
She was stuck in self-pity.

Let your old disempowering and sad story go.
Don't allow some tragedy that happen in the past to control your today and your future.

All of us have experienced some kind of tragedy, and if we haven't, we will.
You can either let the tragedy destroy your life or you can build upon it.

You can allow the tragedy to hold you down or you can decide that you will get out of this rut and stop repeating your sad story today.

What Is Life?

                                                      "Live life to the fullest
because you only get to live it once."

As I mentioned in my blog this past Monday, life is always changing.
Sometimes you are up and sometimes you are down. If we can just learn to accept this we will avoid a lot of suffering.
Just know that sometimes you are happy and sometimes you are sad. Even when you are not happy and things are not going right in your life, just remember that this too shall pass.
Brighter days are coming.

If you missed Monday's Blog.....here it is
http://karinglannstam.blogspot.com/2018/07/the-challanges-of-life.html

Life is like an onion, you have to peel it one layer at a time, and sometimes you cry.

I heard something beautiful about life the other day that I want to share with you today.

Life is a challenge.....Meet it.
Life is like a gift.....Accept it.
Life is like an adventure.....Dare it.
Life is a sorrow.....Overcome it.
Life is a tragedy.....Face it.
Life is a duty.....Perform it.
Life is a mystery.....Unfold it.
Life is a song.....Sing it.
Life is an opportunity.....Take it.
Life is a journey.....Complete it.
Life is a promise.....Fulfill it.
Life is a beauty.....Praise it.
Life is a struggle.....Fight it.
Life is a goal.....Achieve it.
Life is a puzzle.....Sole it.

"Life is a matter of choices,
and every choice you make makes you."
                                                                - John C. Maxwell

The Challenges Of Life

"Life is full of ups and downs.
The trick is to enjoy the ups
and have courage during the downs."

We all know that life is always changing. It never stays the same.

We also know that sometimes you are up, and sometimes you are down.
Sometimes you are happy and sometimes you are sad. Sometimes you are filled with energy and sometimes you don't feel like you can get out of bed.
Life is seldom even and smooth. If it is, it won't stay that way for very long. We need to accept this.
It is what we call LIFE.

Anybody can feel good during the UP moments of life.
It's easy to feel good when you have your health, your business is doing great, your relationships are working well, your kids act right and all your bills are paid.
Anyone can be positive then.

It's easy to have faith when everything is working well in your life.
It's a lot easier to have a larger vision and it's a lot easier to take action on your goals then.

But the real growth, mentally, emotionally and spiritually comes when you get knocked down.
How you handle it.....that is where the real growth takes place.

Are you going to stray stuck during a down moment in life, or are you going to grow through it?

Now if you happen to get stuck.....how do you get yourself unstuck?

First you must evaluate where you are at the moment.

Then ask yourself, what brought you here? What role did you play?

Next question is, what did you learn from it?
Are you learning anything or are you going to keep on repeating the same lesson over and over again?

"Until you handle it with grace, it will stay in your face."

You know that you will keep on getting the same lesson over and over again until you completely accept it and understand it.
Then you will graduate onto the next challenge in life.
Life is never at a standstill.

What is the biggest challenge that you are facing today...either in your business or personally?

What You Do Every Day Matters

"It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives.
                                                  It's what we do consistently."
                                                         - Tony Robbins

Little by Little A little become A lot.

Every great teacher will tell you that when you want to build any habit..... consistency is key.

Here is a great metaphor of what I am talking about.

A stonecutter hits a rock with his hammer. The stone splits. the casual observer sees and thinks, "WOW! That guy is really strong. I can't believe he broke that rock with one single blow!"
The reality is that the stonecutter didn't break the rock in one single blow. He'd been hammering away at that rock for a long time. Many, many blows went into the rock before it finally split.

Many people will look at the person on top of the mountain and say..... aren't they lucky to be standing there. And they forget to look at all the hard work it took for that person to reach the top of the mountain.

Most people see someone who has achieved success whether it's financial wealth, fitness, enlightenment or celebrity status, and think....."WOW, they sure are lucky."

So, keep on hitting the rock.....over and over again.

5 Tips To Stay Healthy And Keep Your Weight Under Control

Every small achievement will soon be
                                                        one amazing success.

Do want to feel healthier and have more energy?

Most of  us do.

How about being able to keep your weight under control and to feel awesome?

Are you interested?

Here are 5 simple things that you can do to live a healthier, more energized life and keep the weight under control.

These tips are so easy and so simple to do. They have worked very will in my life and I hope that you will try them.

Step One
Move more.
Get inspired to add a few more activities into your life.
I've had dogs for the past 30 years and that has helped a lot with moving my body. I enjoy taking my dogs out in nature for walks on a daily base. Great exercise for both me and the dogs.
Decide do move more. It doesn't matter what you do.
Start walking with a pedometer and set a goal of 10,000 steps per day.

Step Two
Find out what works.
Find something that you like to do. For me as I mentioned in step one I love to walk my two dogs on a daily base.  I also enjoy doing yoga. I used to do classes at the gym but now I do three 30-minutes sessions per week at home.
Figure out what you like to do, or chances are that you won't do it.
Sign up for some specific class. Find a few friends and do something together.

Step Three
Start small.
Don't be a weekend worrier at the gym and then end up on the couch for the rest of the weak because you hurt yourself.
Make tiny changes both when it comes to your diet and your exercise. Instead of eating a big salad start with adding a vegetable or two to your meal on a regular base. Replace a soda or a candy bar with a piece of fruit. Eventually you will start craving more fresh food and less junk.

Step Four
Be consistent
I eat the same healthy breakfast everyday. Sticking to the same meal takes the guess work out of how to start my day on a healthy note. I walk about the same distance every day. Rain or sunshine, it doesn't matter. Consistency pays off big time. Little by little a little become a lot.
Develop stickability.

Step Five
Be kind to yourself and appreciate yourself and your body.
You might want to clean up your self-talk. Remember whatever you say to yourself.....you are listening.
Stop beating yourself up. You must become your own biggest cheer-leader.

Here are a few empowering  affirmations to say to yourself.

I accept who I am with joy.
I love myself exactly as I am.
I always stand up for myself and I know I am a person of great value.
I am committed to be successful.
I have inner strength.
I am capable.
I am proud of my body.
I am healthy, I am strong and I am powerful

Wake Up And Be Awesome

"Every morning you have two choices.
                                                 Continue to sleep with dreams
                                                                        or
wake up and chase your dreams."

Willpower is a muscle and you can increase it by using it more often. The more you use it the stronger it gets.

Having a huge willpower muscle will assist you in your pursuit of your dreams and it will help you accomplish anything in your life.
Today I will give a you a great way to increase that muscle.

Today's Challenge

I believe that how you start your day is the way you day will continue. If you want to have a successful day I believe that you have to have some morning success habits that will set the tone for how your day is going to go.

"This morning I will show up. Stepping forward in growth."

Strengthen  you willpower muscle every day, by committing to waking up at a designated time  (Maybe trying to bet the sun up!)

Spend that extra time before the world wakes up to do yoga, meditate, read a book, journaling, reading your statement with your goals, write, paint, go for a walk or a run.
Do something that will inspire you. Something that will boost your energy level and that will make you feel alive for the day.

Re-commit every evening to get up again the next morning.
Commit to do this for at least three weeks and you will be amazed at how happy, inspired and energized you will feel.

I have got a dream worth more than my sleep.

Eat To Fuel Your Body - Not To Feed Your Emotions

It's not a short term diet.
It's a long term lifestyle change.

Most people take better care of their cars than they do their own bodies.

We must all realize the consequences of our mistakes and understand the benefits of the right decisions when it comes to eating right. It's time to stop cheating and be serious about changing our eating patters to improve our health and our entire lives.

A lot of people are wandering through life just eating whatever is tasting the best. Not paying much attention to how is affecting their body and their energy, long term. Short term pleasure and energy but often long term pain later in life.

Surveys show that almost 70% of American adults are now overweight and obese. We are eating high calorie nutrient deficient food and we mix it with a sedentary lifestyle. Not a good combination for health and vitality.

Today people are eating a lot of processed foods and meats, lots of refined grains and a lot of added fat and sugar.

My Story!
Talking about sugar.....I have to come clean here and admit that I love sugar.
Yes.....I love sugar way too much. More that I should. Sugar is my best friend. It's there when I feel sad. Sugar is there when I am happy. Sugar is helping when I feel worried and sugar is there when I need a energy boost. How can you not love sugar? I don't think that I know anybody that doesn't like sugar.
But I have come to realize that sugar and I cannot be best friends anymore. Because my best friend sugar is not good for me. The friendship was ruining my health and my energy. So I decided that I have to let go of this best friend because my best friend was toxic.
Nowadays I have some new friends. Their names are apples, melons, pears, tangerines and carrots just to name a few.
Many years ago I was also totally hooked on drinking Diet Coke. It helped me with my boredom at work. Looking back on it now I realized that I should have changed profession a little earlier instead of depending on diet soda to give me an energy boost.
Today I don't touch soda. Diet or not, it doesn't matter, because it's really bad for you and it has absolutely no nutritional value.

By the way.....if you love to drink wine or alcohol …..you are probably deep down addicted to sugar. There is a lot of sugar in these drinks.

A healthy lifestyle not only changes your body,
it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood.

So what are we suppose to do to be able to live healthier?

Change Our Eating Pattern

Eat Food
Eat the right amount (not too much)
Mostly plants

This sounds very simple and it's actually a very simple solution.
It's simple.....but not so easy to do.

Today we are not eating whole food. We are eating things that look like food.
Twinkies, launchables, spray on cheese and margarine, cereals loaded with sugar, low-fat or no fat brownies, half the calories potato chips, just to name a few.
Does anyone know what is in a chicken nugget? I don't think I want to know.

Don't eat too much food. I don't think I need to talk about this one. People are just eating way too much food. Look at the size of our plates....they have gotten bigger so that we won't realize how much we are eating.
A good rule is.....never go back for a second serving. Resist the temptation.

A lot of people are eating even when they are not hungry. They are eating as a way of dealing with their emotions.
Why are you eating when you are not hungry? What are you trying to avoid by numbing your feeling(s) with food or sugar?
Trying to fill the empty whole inside will never work. The more you fill the hole the bigger it gets.

Make a new habit of eating mostly plants. There is now evidence that more meat in your diet, the greater the risk of heart disease and cancer.
Decide to add more vegetables to your diet.....and I am not talking about broccoli that is getting topped off with cheese sauce.

Adopting and maintaining a healthy diet is the first and the most important step on the path to wellness and vitality.
Food is medicine and the best medicine is preventative. Food will help protect us against heart disease, stroke, some cancer, high blood pressure, depression, mental decline associated with aging, diabetes and other weight related illnesses.

Feeding our bodies better fuel will allow us to live a life of higher quality.

Take good care of you body because it's the only place that you got to live.
