"You need to associate with people that inspire you,
people that challenge you to rise higher,
people that make you better.
Don´t waste your valuable time with people that are not adding to your growth.
Your destiny is to important."
- Joel Osteen
Our relationships will determine 85 percent of our happiness or our unhappiness.
If you have bad personal relationships they will drag you down worse than a sea-anchor.
A bad boss can destroy all your joy in work. And one negative co-worker can cast a darkness over an entire office, because of their negativity.
"Bad company ruins good morals."
They have found out that as much as 99 percent of your success in life is going to be determined by your reference group.
What is a reference group?
They are the people that you habitually associate with. The people that you spend most of your time with.
The people that you work with, people at home, your social circle, people you go to church with or people that you associate with at any organization that you belong to.
Why is it so important to be mindful about your reference group?
Because the people that we spend our time with will affect us tremendously.
We will absorb other peoples attitudes, way of thinking, opinions, habits, behaviors, they way the dress and the way they speak.
Make sure that you associate with people that will inspire you and lift you higher. People that will make you better.
Select your relationships with care.
Only associate with people that you like, respect and enjoy being around.
Take a good look at the people that you spend most of your time with.
Are they winners that are going somewhere in life? or are they people who like to complain, blame and spread negativity around themselves wherever they go?
If you start to associate with winners and people that are inspiring and going somewhere in life, you will realize that they have a totally different worldview.
They are positive, upbeat, goal-oriented. They are constantly learning and growing.
They are positive about what they are doing and where they are going in life.
Change your reference group and it will change how you think and how you act.
