How To Stay On Track

                                                        "If you chase two rabbits,
                                                             BOTH will escape"

How do you stay on track?
By being able to learn focused concentration.

Don´t allow anything to capture your attention unless it is the best interest of the task at hand.
Concentration will keep out clutter, noise and other distraction that will keep you from completing your task.
Wherever you are....Be there!

Learn to concentrate on what you are suppose to be doing for the moment. You can´t be thinking of everything you need to be doing....all the time. It is exhausting and it will lead to burn out.
You must concentrate at just one thing at a time. A project, a job..... you must take it one task at a time until you complete it.

Can you imagine if you were a mountain climber and you lost your concentration for a second...you could fall and die. How about a tennis player... if they lost their concentration for a second or two....they might lose the game.

There is no such thing as multi-tasking...... it is called task-switching and it will only slow you down.
Your brain can only concentrate at one thing at a time. So do what you have set out to do. Keep your mind on that one task.

Why?
Because if you don´t, you won´t be able to accomplish anything.

It takes a lot of discipline to not answer the phone while you are in the middle of doing a task. Or checking your emails and social media. It will take a lot of discipline to keep the "do not disturb" sign up when you are working on a project.
Concentration takes a lot of discipline.

Concentrate on the work a hand and demand of yourself the discipline of staying focused.

Tip!
If you have a long list of things to do. Do the toughest thing, the one that will require a lot of concentration, do it when your concentration is at its peak.
If you are a morning person...do it in the morning.
If you are an afternoon person...do it in the afternoon.

Just remember when you are at ...WORK!

When you at home with family or with your friends...BE THERE!

Doing Better......Comes from Getting Better

"Your level of success is determined by your level of discipline and perseverance"

If you want to do something about your future, you must decide that you want to make it better.
And to make it better you must accept responsibility.

Doing better comes from getting better. Getting better happens from the discipline of doing better and better.
Getting better doesn´t happen from wishful thinking.

Discipline is required for progress. Affirmations alone won´t do the trick.

Make a conscious decision to create a positive habit and then repeat it every day until it becomes automatic.
Tell yourself that  no matter what is going on in the world and in your life, you won´t quit your new habit.

Successful people have more than education and experience.
They have good habits and attitudes.

The key to create any habit (healthy or unhealthy) is consistency.

Breaking bad habits can be difficult, but it´s within your power.

As humans we are often a product of our environment, so make sure that you surround yourself with people who will lead you to success. If you are surrounded by negative, fearful and lazy people, it will be hard for you to motivate yourself to achieve your goals.

Be positive, persistent, yet patient, have resilience and always be adaptable.

How To Increase Your Self-Worth

"True abundance isn´t based on our net worth, it´s based on our self-worth"
                                                    - Gabrielle Bernstein

Realizing  how valuable we are will play a major role in our lives. Our self-worth makes a difference in being active or lazy.
If we don´t feel good about ourselves, we won´t look for opportunities to make our lives better.
Having a great enough self-worth will want you to seek out advantages and opportunities.

Let me ask you a question........
Are you operating at your full capacity when it comes to your life?

Are you doing everything that you possibly can when it comes to your business, family, friendships and your income?

If not....Why Not?

Doing a little less in your life will mess with your mind.
Every time that we choose to do a little less it affects our confidence, our courage and our self-worth.
If we keep doing a little less every day,  we also become a little less.

Can you imagine what you would end up being after 10 years of doing a little less?
It will be devastating. Doing a little less could ruin your life.
Can you imagine the price of doing a little less?
What could you become if you only operated at 30% in your life?

But you can reduce the process of doing a little less by using your self-discipline and self-reliance to change the course of your life today, by starting to do a little more every day.
Soon you will develop a new habit of doing rather than neglecting.
Doing a little more every day will increase your confidence, courage, creativity and your self-worth

What can you start doing today to be able to operate at close to 100%
We are able to change ourselves at any time. Change our income, or lifestyle and our affect on other people.
We have the capacity, the answers and we have the ability.
Remember you have the freedom to try.

Maybe it is the discipline that is missing in your life?
Create a need for action and start implement a few new habits. Implement those new habits every day until they become automatic.
Take responsibility for your own life and what happens to you.
Build new skills, take advantage of new opportunities. Always keep your eyes open for new ideas, a new way of thinking and new ways of doing things.
Then be confident, creative and have the courage to take action on these new opportunities that will present themselves.

In the end is how we feel about ourselves that will provide us with increased courage and creativity.
Being successful in life is not in the having. Success is in the doing.
It is the process of doing that brings value. It is in the activity that convert ideas into reality.

Without activity in life you will miss out on opportunities.

How you feel about yourself is the greatest value. It is not what we get that will make us valuable...
It is what we become in the process of doing a little more every day.

How to Work Smarter...Not Harder!

It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants.
The question is; what are you busy about?
                                                       - Henry David Thoreau

Busy doesn´t impress - Results do!

Successful people focus on being productive not busy

Don´t be busy being busy.

Be busy being productive.

But how do we become more productive?

How can you work smarter not harder?

Answer
By focusing on finding a way to be able to do more work per hour instead of working more hours.

Make sure you run the day and don´t allow the day to run you.

We all have a time in our day when we are a lot more productive than any other time of the day. Call it "productive time" or "magic time". But it is a time of the day when you are able to concentrate the most.

Everything has a rhythm to it. Days follow nights. Spring follows winter. Ebb and flow. Your body has its own rhythm.
Know yourself enough to realize when you are the best at doing something. In the morning or in the afternoon or even in the evening. Figure out what time is best for you and then schedule the most important task for that time of the day.
Make your own rhythm work for you.

For me my "magic time" or my most "productive time", is during the midmorning. If I have to write a newsletter or a blog or something else that I need to concentrate on, my best time to do this is from 9 am to around noon.
In the afternoon I am having more trouble concentration and my brain isn´t as sharp. In the morning I can get the same task done in about half the time that it will take for me to do it at any other time of the day. In the afternoon I will check and answer emails instead. Make phone calls, read articles and books. Things that doesn´t need as much concentration on my part.
Remember......work smarter not harder.

Same thing goes for exercise. I have to do it in the morning. If I wait until late in the afternoon or evening, I have to use a lot more willpower to exercise. Besides, if I exercise in the morning I will feel the benefit of that exercise routine all day by flooding my system with healthy hormones, and a lot of positive mental energy that will last all day long.

To make this "magic time" or "productive time" work, you must shut down all your email alerts, turn off your phone. Make sure that you turn off all your distractions and interruptions. This time is your number one priority because you can get a lot more done, up to 3 times more in a lot shorter period of time. But you have to protect yourself from the energy-vampires, who will try to suck your time away from you.
Remember the name of the game is to work smarter not harder.

You won´t be successful until you figure out what will work for you. Just because I do my most important work during the morning hours, doesn´t mean that it is right for you.

Your job is to figure out, what time of the day that you are the most productive.

Great Book...Think and Grow Rich...by Napoleon Hill

Think and Grow Rich is one of the most influential books of all time in pointing the way to personal achievements - to financial independency and to riches of the spirit beyond measurement in money.

Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve

                                                                   Desire

The starting point of all achievement
                                                     The first step toward riches

When Edwin C. Barnes climbed down from the freight train in Orange, N.J., more that fifty years ago, he may have resembled a tramp, but his thoughts were those of a king!
As he made is way from the railroad tracks to Thomas A. Edison´s office, his mind was at work. He saw himself standing in Edison´s presence. He heard himself asking Mr. Edison for an opportunity to carry out the one consuming obsession of his life, a burning desire to become the business associate of the great inventor.
Barnes´ desire was not hope! It was not a wish! It was a keen, pulsating desire, which transcended everything else. It was definite.
A few years later, Edwin C. Barnes again stood before Edison, in the same office where he first met the inventor. This time his desire had been translated into reality. He was in business with Edison. The dominating dream of his life had become a reality.
Barnes succeeded because he chose a definite goal, place all his energy, all his will power, all his effort, everything, back of that goal.

The man that burned bridges.

Five years passed before the chance he had been seeking made its appearance. To everyone, except himself, he appeared only another cog in the Edison business wheel, but in his own mind, he was the partner of Edison every minute of the time, from the very day he first went to work there.
It is a remarkable illustration of the power of a definite desire. Barnes won his goal. because he wanted to be a business associate of Mr. Edison more than he wanted anything else. He created a plan by which to attain that purpose. But he burned the bridges behind him. He stood by his desire until it became the dominating obsession of his life - and - finally, a fact.
When he went to Orange, he didn´t say to himself, "I will try to induce Edison to give me a job of some sort." He said, "I will see Edison, and put him on notice that I have come to go into business with him."
He did not say, "I will keep my eyes open for another opportunity, in case I fail to get what I want in the Edison organization." He said, "There is but one thing in this world that I am determined to have, and that is a business association with Thomas A. Edison. I will burn all bridges behind me, and stake my entire future on my ability to get what I want."
He left himself no possible way of retreat. He had to win or perish!
That is all there is to the Barnes story of success!

Every Little Action Step Matters!

"The first and best victory is to conquer self"
                                                                   - Plato

You must have discipline to act on your vision and your goals. One discipline affects another discipline. All disciplines affect each other.
Everything affects everything else.
Nothing stands alone. Don´t say to yourself..."this doesn´t matter". Of course it matters. It all matters.
Some things might matter more than others - But everything matters.

If you rather sleep in in the morning instead of going for a brisk walk - pretty soon it will matter.

If you rather eat unhealthy food - soon it will matter.

If you rather spend your money instead of saving it - it will soon matter.

If you put off sending an email of making a phone-call, to stay in touch with a good friend - soon it will matter.

If you rather work late every night instead of going home and spend time with your family - soon it will matter.

It all matters. Every let down affects the rest.

"Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret"

If you won´t go for a brisk walk in the morning, you probably won´t eat right. Or read an important book, or attend a seminar, and you probably won´t spend your money wisely. After years of this, it all adds up.

So they key to reversing the process is so start picking up the disciplines that does matter.
Remember, it all matters.

There is also a positive side to this.
Every new discipline affects the rest. Every new discipline makes a difference. That is why action is so important. The smallest action, the least action, the action that you think won´t matter.
It all matters.

                                                               "Little
                                                           by little,
                                     a little becomes a lot"
                                                      Tanzanian Proverb

If you start going for a brisk walk in the morning, it will inspire you to start eating healthy. You start eating healthy, it will inspire you to read a book. After you read a book you will get inspired to attend a seminar and after attending seminars, it will inspire you to develop some new skills.

Disciplines affect each other. Lack affects the rest of your life.
The key is to do away with the lack.

"Just to ease up a little bit" is a great temptation. To do a little bit less than you are capable of.
"To take a little break and not going for a brisk walk in the morning will only affect my health"......you say to yourself.
NO....it will affect your consciousness. It will affect your home life. It will affect everything.

Vacations are for easing up a little bit. When you are at work...work. When you are on vacation...rest.
Wherever you are...Be There!

If you think of vacation when you are at work, you will surely think about work when you are on vacation. You will mess it up.

Get disciplined. Be disciplined every day. When you set up a discipline that will give your life structure....Great things can happen.

Anyone that wants to make a drastic change in their life, can do it. Just by implementing a few daily disciplines.

Don´t Get Stuck in Your Past

"Don´t get stuck in your past, use it to fuel your future."

Do you know a few people that are living and always talking about their past?

I do!

A lot of people get stuck in their past and they refuse to move forward in life.

You learn from your past but you shouldn´t continue to live there.

Your past is important because it has brought you to where you are today. But as important as your past is as it relates to your present. It isn´t nearly as important as the way you see your future.

"If there is hope in the future, there is power in the present."
                                                    - John Maxwell

The way you see your future determines your thinking today.

Your thinking today determines your action today.

And your action today determines your future.

Do you know that you are where you are today because what has gone into your mind?

You can change right now by what is going into your mind.

What are you thinking about when it comes to your future?  Is there hope in your future?

Treat Your Body as a Temple

Some people don´t do well in life, simply because they don´t feel well. A lot of it is due to neglecting their physical health.

I am sure you have heard the saying...TREAT YOU BODY AS A TEMPLE?

It says a temple not a shack.

Feeling well is a personal responsibility by taking care of the temple. It is the only place that you have got to live....your physical body. It is extremely important that you take good care of your physical health. Treat it as a temple.

Not taking care of your health sometimes starts with a little neglect that after a while turns into an infection and then later a disease.

The mind and the body work together and you have to have both functioning well. Your body needs to be a good support system for the mind and the spirit.
A support system will take you to where you want to go. It will support you with energy, strength, stamina, power and vitality.

"Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist
but the ability to start over."
                                                     - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Vitality is a major part of being successful in life.
Vitality will take you where you want to go.

Become conscious of self .........but not self-conscious.

You don´t have to spend 5 hours at the gym, six days a week. A few simple routines practiced every day will give you a good support system.

- 30-45 min. of exercise, 5 times per week

- Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

- Park you car away from the entrance and walk to the store/office.

The best exercise program in the world is the one that works for you.
The exercise that you will actually do.
The program that won´t bore or break you.

Vitality will take you where you want to go. Don´t neglect your body. It is the only place you have to live.

A great goal for 2016........ Treat your body as a temple.

How to Get From Where You Are Today to Where You Want to be in the Future

Take action. Believe. Plan your path. Stick to your vision.
And let your dreams come true. It might not happen overnight,
but with a long-term vision, resilience and perseverance,
you can achieve what your mind conceives.

I you want things to change in your life you first have to change yourself. You can´t wait for things to get better....YOU have to get better.

"Things don´t get better by chance...they get better by CHANGE."
                                                           - Jim Rohn

Success is a few simple disciplines practiced every day.

All disciplines affect each other. Everything affects everything. That is why the smallest action is important.

First you have to figure out what you really want. Next step is to figure out how to get from where you are today to where you want to be in the future.

Here are a few simple steps.

1. Develop the right game-plan for you. Don´t allow someone else to tell you what you plan should be.
What do you want .....and what is the perfect plan for you.

2. Decide how much time you will spend on it. Set a deadline for when you will have your vision accomplished.

3. Keep a journal and write things down.

4. Reflect. At the end of the day sit down for a few minutes and look back on the day and figure out what actions did you take during the day that helped you to get a step closer to your vision.

5. Set some goals. Goals are stepping stones that will help you accomplish your vision.

6. Act on your plan. You can have the perfect plan but if you forget to act on it, you won´t be able to accomplish your vision. ACTION is important

Great Book..... A New Earth....by Eckhart Tolle

This book is about YOU. It will change your state of consciousness or it will be meaningless. It can only awaken those who are ready. Not everyone is ready yet, but many are, and with each person who awakens, the momentum in the collective consciousness grows, and it becomes easier of others. If you don´t know what awakening means, read on.

Only by awakening can you know the true meaning of that word. A glimpse is enough to initiate the awakening process, which is irreversible. For some, that glimpse will come with reading this book. For many others who may not even have realized it, the process has already begun.

This book will help them recognize it. For some, it may have begun through loss or suffering for others, through coming into contact with a spiritual teacher or teaching, through reading The Power of Now or some other spiritually alive and therefore transformational book -  or any combination of the above. If the awakening process has begun in you, the reading of this book will accelerate and intensify it.

An essential part of the awakening is the recognition of the unawakened you, the ego as it thinks, speaks, and acts, as well as the recognition of the collectively conditioned mental process that perpetrate the awakened state.

That is why this book shows the main aspects of the ego and how they operate in the individual as well in the collective.

Try....Until You Get There

                                                              Happy New Year

Have you created your vision for 2016?

Most of the time it isn´t that difficult to create a vision and then set some goals or even follow through on a New Year´s resolution for the coming year.

We get started and we are telling ourselves that this time we are going to succeed in whatever we have decided to do.

We feel excited for a few weeks but as the time passes we are starting to slip, not doing the things on a daily or weekly base that we decided to do at the beginning of the year.

It is easy to get started but it is a lot harder to continue after the excitement has worn off and we find ourself uninspired and unmotivated.
Then we stop trying and we feel like a big fat failure..... again.
Does this sound familiar?

Why do we quit trying?
I don´t know.

But the important thing is that we don´t quit until we get there.
Until we accomplish our goals and our vision for ourselves.

"The minute you think of giving up, think of the reason you started."

Let me give you an example.

How long does it take for a baby to start walking?
As long as it takes. Until the baby is walking

Would you tell the baby to quit after a few attempts of trying to walk?
Of course not.

Would you only allow a baby a couple of weeks or a month to be able to walk?
Of course not. You will allow the baby to try until the baby can walk.

When the baby falls and falls after trying to walk, will the baby tell itself that it is a failure and not try again?
Of course not. The baby will continue to try until it can walk.

So why do we quit so quickly when it comes to our own vision and goals in life?
Shouldn´t we continue to try until we get there? Just like the baby, learning to walk?
Of course we should. But unfortunately.... a lot of times we don´t.
We try and if it doesn´t work out after a couple of weeks or months, we slowly return to our old way of living and a lot of times we also feel like we have failed....... again.

Be like a baby...keep on trying. If you fall you get up again. Right a way. Try again, and again, and again.......Until you get there.

Resolve says, "I will" The man says, "I will climb this mountain. They told me it is too high, too far, too step, too rocky, and too difficult.
But it is my mountain. I will climb it.
Soon you will see me waving from the top or dead on the side from trying."
- Jim Rohn

Failure is NOT....... trying and it didn´t work out.

Failure is not the end result, it is a stepping stone.

Failure is a learning opportunity. A way of making adjustments along the way to success.

Without failure opportunity can not be created.

There can be no success without failure.

But if you quit, you automatically loose.

How long should you keep on trying?
UNTIL YOU GET THERE...........
