"Happiness is dependent on self-discipline.
We are the biggest obstacles to our own happiness.
It is much easier to do battle with society and with others than to fight our own nature."
- Dennis Pager
Are you an obstacle to your own happiness?
Do you blame society or someone else for your level of unhappiness?
I once had a friend who blamed her job and her co-workers for being overweight and unhappy.
Instead of dealing with the weight-issue herself and getting more disciplined in her own life by eating less, becoming healthier and exercising, she decided to blame someone else for her problem.
This is a for sure thing for remaining unhappy in your life.
If you want more happiness in your life.....then you have to increase your discipline.
Self-Discipline: Controlling your own behavior and action responsibly without being told.
Discipline and happiness are linked together.
Where in your life are you the most disciplined? Work, health/fitness, finances, spirituality?
Where would you like to increate your happiness? In what area of your life would you like to be more happy?
So....what do you need to do?
You guessed it.....increase your level of discipline in that are of your life.
"Discipline is choosing between what you want now
and what you want most."
The good news is.....No matter what your current level of discipline, you can build your willpower/discipline muscles.....and create the happiness that you want.
