Focus Your Energy On What You Can Control

"Focus on what you can do rather than stress

about what you have no control over."

                                                - Catherine DeVrye

Do you feel like the world is out of control?

Do you feel like everywhere you look there is always something to make you upset, worried and anxious?

Are a lot of the people around you always complaining, gossiping, arguing and talking about what is wrong and what isn't working?

What is wrong in this world is always available... but so is what is right and what is working in this world.

It comes down to what you decide to focus on at the moment.
What is wrong or what is right.

I also feel worried about all the things going on in the world right now. But at the same time, if I allow it consume me, I will feel like my life is out of control all the time and that there is nothing I can do to change it.
Not a good way to live.

So what can we do on a daily basis to feel better about everything... including ourselves?

First we can start with what we choose to focus on most of them time.
This is something that is under our control.

Do we need to constantly watch the news?
No we don't.
We can choose to disconnect from the news.

Do we need to hang out with negative friends, family-members and co-workers that are always complaining, griping and looking for reasons to remain unhappy?
No we don't.

"The best thing we can do for ourselves
is to focus on what we can control."

Here are three things that you can control

1. What you decide to focus on most of the time.

Learn to focus on what you can control in your life instead of what you can't.
You can't control what is going on in the world.
You can't control other people and what they say.
But what you can control is how you react.
You can also control who you spend your time with, what you spend your time listening to, what you spend your time watching and what you are doing.
Are you taking any type of action or do you remain on the couch?
Choose to focus most of you time on positive things, and what is working right now.

2. Focus on what you already have in your life.

A lot of people are constantly focusing on what is missing and what they don't have.
And only when they get it, only then will they be happy.
Be grateful for what you do have and what is already working in your life.
By shifting your focus... more things to be grateful for, will eventually show up in your life.

3. Start to focus more on the present and the future.

Most people live their lives stuck in the past.
We must learn from our past, but we should never live there.
He/she did this to me! My parents neglected me or abused me! My teachers didn't care!
You have no control over the past.
What is done... is done.
Learn to move on.

Ask Yourself...

What can I control?
What is possible for me?
What is in the future?
What can I do today to make positive and great things happen in my life?

Do You Allow A TV In The Bedroom?

"Stand guard at the door of your mind."

                                                     - Jim Rohn

Do you allow a TV in the bedroom and do you leave it on while you go to sleep?

Today I want to share with you why it is a really bad idea to leave your TV on after you fall asleep.

I believe most of you know that we have a conscious and a subconscious mind. They are responsible for totally different things.

The conscious mind is the part of the mind that is thinking, planning, calculating and it is responsible for the reasoning. The conscious mind can accept and reject anything. If you don´t like something or disagree with something... it will simply reject it.
On the other hand it can accept anything that you like and that aligns with what you feel and believe is true.

Think of the conscious mind as the gate-keeper of the subconscious mind. Before you are going to allow anything to enter the subconscious mind, it has to get passed the gate-keeper.

The subconscious mind has a perfect memory. It will remember anything that you have ever smelled, heard, seen, tasted, touched, thought and felt. All this information has been stored in your subconscious mind. Think of  the subconscious mind like a giant filing-cabinet. Information will always be there for you to refer back to.

When something happens you can just go back to the filing-cabinet and pull the information back out.

                                                       "Be vigilant;

guard your mind against negative thoughts."

                                                        - Buddha

The subconscious mind is always awake and responsive. 24 hours per day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. It never sleeps. It accepts without question anything. Good or bad... it goes to the subconscious to be filed forever. The subconscious accepts a command or instruction without analyzing it and it doesn´t reject it either. It has unlimited power potential and it also has unlimited storage capacity.
The subconscious mind is estimated to be about 30 000 times more powerful than the conscious mind.

Since the subconscious mind will accept anything and everything that we feed it and it has a perfect memory it becomes extremely important that we feed it the right stuff. We must stand guard (be the gate-keeper) at the door of our own mind.
If we allow our minds to be wide open to everything it can be very detrimental to us.

This is the reason why we should not leave the TV or radio on after we have fallen asleep.
Anything that is being said can slip right on by the conscious mind and the sleeping gate-keeper and it will go strait back to the subconscious to be filed.

The thing is... you don´t even know what information and ideas that just slipped by... do you?
If you had been awake you might have rejected them, but since you are now sleeping and the gate-keeper is also sleeping... anything and everything will pass through the gate.

You are asleep together with the gate-keeper... but your subconscious mind is wide awake and ready to take in anything that you are feeding it from a TV or a radio.

Do you know what kind of information and ideas that is being given to you by the TV or radio while you are sleeping?
Remember... good or bad... the subconscious mind will accept it as true and it will file it away for later references.

It isn´t smart to turn our minds over to just anyone or anything.
Don´t let anyone just dump a lot of ideas and information into your mind, because you are the one that gets to live with the consequences of it.

"Your thoughts today become your reality tomorrow.

Guard your mind and only let the good things in."

Guard your mind.
Be the gate-keeper.

And when you are tired and sleeping... make sure that it is quiet around you

It's Time to Dream Big Dreams

                                      "Dreams are extremely important.
You can't do it unless you imagine it."
                                                  - George Lucas

Make 2021 a fantastic year for you.

Imagine that you have no limitations.
Imagine that you have all the time, unlimited amount of money, all the friends and contacts that you need, all the education, all the experience and all the resources.
And you can be, have and do anything that you want in life... What Would It Be?

"Dream big. Start small. Act now."
                                                  - Robins S. Sharma

Start practicing back from the future thinking.
Develop a vision of yourself as happy, healthy and wealthy.
Practice what successful people practice. It is called idealization.
You project forward several years and you imagine that your life is perfect in every way.

"Dream big and dare to fail."
                                                      - Norman Vaughn

If your life was perfect in 5 years... What would it look like?

Where would you live?
What kind of family life would you have?
What kind of health/fitness would you have?
What kind of job would you have?
How much would you make?
How much would you be worth?
What kind of friends would you have?
What kind of house would you live in?
What kind of car would you drive?
What kind of resources would you have?

"Never give up on what you really want.
The person with big dreams is more powerful than
the on with all the facts."
                                                 - Albert Einstein

Here is a TIP!
Create a dream or a vision of a wonderful future.
Create a dream or a vision of a wonderful future.
Take a piece of paper and make  out a "Dream List"
Allow your mind to run wild. There are no limitations here.
Write down everything that you want.

When you do this you will start to activate "The Law of Attraction" and you will begin to attract, people, circumstances, ideas, resources and insight and it will begin to move you toward accomplishing your goals and it will begin to move the goals toward you.

                                        "The future belongs to those
who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
                                              - Eleanor Roosevelt

Think BIG, dream BIG, believe BIG, and the results will be BIG.

It is time to DREAM BIG DREAMS!!!

Today a Reader... Tomorrow a Leader

"There is no friend as loyal as a book."

                                                        - Ernest Hemingway

Everything in life is continuous growth.

Either we grow or we die.
Either we continue to climb or we will slide back. And there is no standing still either.

The training, growing and the learning never stops.

It is constant, never ending improvements of ourselves that will make us the most happy, fulfilled and alive.

Make a habit of feeding your mind with something uplifting and empowering on a daily basis.

Raise your standards by reading a book for at least 30-60 minutes per day.

"Miss a meal if you have to, but don't miss a book."
                                                         - Jim Rohn

Why is reading so important?

The brain requires exercise to keep it strong and healthy.
The same way our bodies need exercise and healthy eating to function well.
Reading a book is excellent exercise for the brain.
Remember.... if you don´t use it, you lose it.

If you want your brain to work the way you want it it to, then you have to continue to use it in a create way each and every single day. It's up to you to do this, no one will force you to use and exercise your brain daily. The discipline has to come from you.

Everything you read fills your head with new information and new fresh ideas and you never know when this information or ideas might come in handy.

"The world belongs to those who read."
                                                        - Rick Holland

The more knowledge you have, the better off you will be to tackle life´s challenges and obstacles.

A new idea can also be life changing. It can be the beginning of a new business, new lifestyle, new friendships or new adventures.

Reading will also improve your memory, your focus and your concentration.

You can lose your family, friends, money, your house or your job... but knowledge can never be taken away from you.

Keep on going and keep on learning every day.

Discipline Or The Pain Of Regret

"Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines,

                                                 practiced every day."

                                                        - Jim Rohn

If you want to do something about your future, you must decide that you want to make it better.

And to make it better you must accept responsibility.

Doing better comes from getting better.
Getting better happens from the discipline of doing better and better.
Getting better doesn´t happen from wishful thinking.

Discipline is required for progress. Affirmations alone won´t do the trick.

                               "Without self-discipline success is impossible,
                                                           period."
                                                      - Lou Holtz

Make a conscious decision to create a positive habit and then repeat it every day until it becomes automatic.
Tell yourself that no matter what is going on in the world and in your life, you won´t quit your new habit.

Successful people have more than education and experience.
They have good habits and attitudes.

The key to create any habit (healthy or unhealthy) is consistency.

Breaking bad habits can be difficult, but it´s within your power.

"Discipline yourself, and others won't have to."
                                                      - John Wooden

As humans we are often a product of our environment, so make sure that you surround yourself with people who will lead you to success.
If you are surrounded by negative, fearful and lazy people, it will be hard for you to motivate yourself to achieve your goals.

                                  "Persistence is self-discipline in action."
                                                     - Brain Tracy

Be positive, persistent, yet patient, have resilience and always be adaptable.

Let Today Be The Start Of Something New

"If you start today to do the right thing,

you are already a success even if it doesn't show yet."

                                                 - John C. Maxwell

If you wanted to improve your life or even take it to the next level, what would be one thing that you can start doing today that will have a positive impact on your life a year, three years or five years from now?

Only one thing. What would that one thing be?

Today...start doing one thing that will make you feel better.

It could be things like...
Starting a daily exercise routine.
Eating healthier food.
Reading a book for 30 minutes every day.
Do one kind thing daily for a complete stranger.
Compliment someone every day.

                                               "Start where you are.
                                                 Use what you have.
                                                   Do what you can.
                                                    - Arthur Ashe

How about cleaning up some decisions.

Maybe getting organized.

Developing yourself.

Developing a plan for your life.

Start saving money.

Be more grateful.

Smile more every day.

Call someone every day to stay connected.

                                              "What you do today
                                  can improve all your tomorrows."
                                                - Ralph Marston

Create a new daily discipline.

Take Action on that discipline.

Be thankful.

Too Busy? Stop For a Second

"Busy is a drug that a lot of people are addicted to."

                                                     - Rob Bell

Busy... Busy... Busy... Are you always busy?

Busy doing what?

A lot of people fill their lives with endless activities.

If we continue to live like this it won´t allow for any creativity, reflection and magic time to enter our lives.
We will be too tired to notice it.

                                                "Nobody is too busy,
                                              it's all about priorities."

But in order to be successful we must learn to create a little space once in a while in our packed schedules.

If we create a little more space in our lives, we will be able to connect to something bigger than ourselves and that will allow for some creative energy to flow through us.

We can create more space in our lives by meditating, yoga, listening to some soft music, sitting still in nature, going for a slow walk or scheduling some quiet time where we simply just do nothing for a period of time.

Being able to create some space in our busy schedules is a huge element for success because it will allow us to have easier access to our creativity and also our inner guidance.

Have you ever tried to solve a problem and no matter how much you tried to analyze it or tried to solve it... you were not able to come up with a solution?

                                   "Being busy and being productive
                                      are two different things."

So instead you decided to go for a walk or maybe you decided to just take a break and go out in your garden or nature and all of a sudden you came up with a solution to your problem.

You just created some space between you and the problem and you allowed some creativity and inner guidance to come to you.

Create some space, magic, reflection or quiet time on a daily basis.
