"Setting goals is the first step
in turning the invisible into the visible."
- Tony Robbins
Most of the time we have very vague plans or a very unclear vision of what we want. Most of us want something to change or something to happen, but we don't sit down and actually decide on what we really want.
I want to lose some weight.
I want another job.
I want to start saving some money.
I want to become healthier and more fit.
I want my relationships to improve.
I want more energy.
I want to become more active.
I know these are all good intentions, but they won't get you very far. You have to become specific of what you want. Just wanting something is not enough for taking you all the way.
A lot of times we might have a lot of commitment, but we don't end up reaching our goals.
Commitment is great but there are a couple of things that you need to go along with your commitment.
A Specific Plan Of Action.
How are you planning to reach your goal?
You need a "road-map" that will take you from where you are to today, to where you want to be in the future. Put in writing and also put a specific time when do you want to have this goal accomplished. Just having a finish date will put the pressure on you to start working on your goal.
Also seizing the opportunity to take the action is a very important step. Being ready to seize the opportunity when it happens.
If you have vague plans... you probably will have vague results.
How are you going to be able to go from just wanting something to happen... to actually making it happen?
Be specific.
Write it down.
Take action and get started... TODAY!
Do something today that your future self will thank you for.
