Can you entertain new ideas?

In order to be able to improve and grow in our lives we must have an open mind.

An open mind will throw away an old belief,  when a better idea comes along.

The vast majority of people seem to drag their past with them as they enter their future. They are dragging the old experiences with them.

When they are confronted with new ideas, they try to figure out if this new idea will fit in their life.
If it doesn´t, they will say that the idea is wrong.

Now what we want to do is to ask ourselves.
Will this new idea improve the quality of my life or will it get me going in the wrong direction?

Do I have an open mind?
Do I want to grow as a person?
Will this new idea improve my life?
Can I entertain a new idea?

Always Be Yourself and Keep it Real

Never change for anyone, after you do, all they´ll want you to do is change again.
And as hard as it was to change the first time, to give up everything you knew, and be half empty afterwards isn´t worth it.
Don´t change so people will like you.
Be yourself and the right people will love the real you.

A lot of times we might feel that it is more important to be liked than to be real.

But how can we love and enjoy our lives if we are not honest and authentic?

How can we create something extraordinary if we are not speaking and living our truth?

We can´t.

If you continue to live a life without being honest and authentic, resentment will build and your head and your heart will be out of balance.

Stop trying to please other people. A lot of times it is an attempt to seek validation to increase your own self-worth.
Don´t be afraid to speak the truth even if you think it might cause some people not to agree with you or even disapprove of you.

Validation is fear based. Unfortunately we live in a society that are constantly telling us that we are not enough.
TV, the internet, magazines or social media are constantly letting us know that we would feel a lot better if we bought a certain product or did a certain thing.......Only then we will be validated and feel good about ourselves.
This will keep us in a constant battle and the result is a never ever feeling of not ever being good enough.

A Couple of Tips!

The less you look for other peoples validation or approval - the more they will give it to you.
Learn to validate and approve of yourself. Then you won´t need any help from the world out here, it will come from within yourself.
And if it comes from within it can never be taken away from you.

Also remember that most people will respect "The Real You".
You don´t have to be perfect in order for people to like you.
Be human.....it is OK. If you are going through a hard time, let people know.
It´s liberating to not have to pretend that everything is just fantastic in your life...all the time.

So be authentic. Express your feelings, thoughts, beliefs and your fears.
Share your experiences with people.

If in doubt...always be yourself and keep it real.

To Be Successful You Must Have 2 Kinds of Courage

One of the biggest obstacles to success is the fear of failure

We also know that the best weapon to deal with fear of failure is the quality of courage.

Now there are two types of courage that you must have in order to be able to succeed.

The courage to begin.
It doesn´t matter what it is that you are trying to accomplish in life, you must always begin.
And you must begin without any guarantees that you will succeed.
There will be a lot of obstacles on your journey to success and if all the obstacles had to be removed before you begin, nothing will ever get done.

Fist you must think, decide, plan and then take action without any guarantees.
Sometimes you have to leap without a net. You will lean as you go.
There is no such thing as a perfect plan. Obstacles that you never even considered before you started will show up on your journey to success. You can´t plan for everything.
You must be willing to learn as you go.

The courage to persist.
No matter what happens you must have the quality of persistence. You must keep on going...no matter what.
Decide in advance that you will never give up, no matter what happens.
Of course you will get knocked down many times on your journey to success - but you will never give up.

When you decide in advance to never give up, you will find yourself continuously bouncing back.

When it comes to creating change, a lot of people freak out or they hesitate.
In order to get from where you are today to where you want to be in the future, you need to change something, right?

Learn to embrace change.
Change is natural and you have already experienced it so many times.

Everything has to change in order to grow. That includes all of us.
It nature everything changes all the time. For every new season there are a lot of changes.
The changes of the seasons in nature, seem natural to us.
Yet the nature of human beings is to resist change.
A lot of fear seems to be involved when it comes to change.

Let´s deal with change today. Try to remove the fear of "I don´t know what is going to happen next" and learn to embrace change.

When you are trying to change something..... like learn a new habit or take a new action....... you will meet resistance.
When you meet resistance you will want to do what you are comfortable doing. If you do what you are comfortable doing you will not take action , create new habits and you will not change.

You need to get past your comfort zone and your fear barrier and venture out and move to the next level in life.

It is perfectly normal to feel fear and resistance  but make sure you create the discipline to move forward.

How to Create New & Healthier Habits With the Least Amount of Effort

One of the ways to create healthier habits is to remove the unhealthy habits.
Unfortunately that will activate a scarcity mindset and make us feel like something is being taken away from us.
Part of us will cling to the old habits and resist the new healthier habits.

A much better way is to replace a few unhealthy habits with some new healthier ones that we can commit to doing and that we can enjoy doing on a regular base.

Ex.
Maybe you haven´t exercised in a long time and you decide to start going to the gym for one hour, 5 days per week instead of watching several hours of TV every night.
It might be difficult to commit to going to the gym right away for 5 days per week.
Instead try going for a short walk, maybe 3 times per week and after a while you will be able to add more time or more days per week.

And maybe after doing this for a couple of months you might be able to sign up for the gym and make it your new healthy habit instead of watching TV.

Instead of removing unhealthy food from your diet, try instead to add a few new healthy choices like, a salad a few times per week. Or maybe drinking more water every day. Maybe adding some fruits for a snack instead of a candy bar or a coke.

Your body will like your new healthier habits and you will find that over time that your body will crave your new and healthier habits.

Same things with walking instead of watching TV. Eventually you will discover that your body is craving the walks or the gym-time, instead of spending hour after hour by the TV.

If there is an undesirable habit that you want to stop, then introduce a new healthier habits into your life that will crowd out the old bad ones. It will create the snowball effect. It will keep you moving closer to your desired goal and life, with less effort.

Also remember that you have to start with small daily disciplines or habits before you can tackle the big ones.

Start with something small and work it until it becomes effortless and part of your routine. (The snowball effect). Then you can tackle more and bigger habits and disciplines.

Start small and you will quickly get stronger and more able to handle the bigger ones.

Just remember that all changes of our habits will require effort on our part, especially if you have had this habits for a very long time.

Some people know exactly what energizes them and also what depletes them.

Unfortunately a lot of people that I ask in my own coaching business have no idea what they like and what gives them energy.

When I ask what they do for fun......the answer I often get is......watching TV or surfing social media and the internet.


Tip!
Start paying attention to what actually energizes you and what depletes you.

It might be big clues to getting back on track in life and maybe even fulfilling your souls purpose.
What you came to this earth to do.

How to Stay Inspired and Motivated

What do you do when you are losing inspiration and motivation?

Do you go for something educational, something physical or do you raid the refrigerator instead?

Providing yourself with a structure framework of aides to be able to stay inspired and motivated is crucial.

Finding inspiration or motivation on a daily basis is important if you want to be able to accomplish your goals and your dreams.


Here are a few tips!

Find supportive and encouraging friends and/or family members that will support your dreams and that will encourage you to keep going even if you are having a bad day and lacking some inspiration/motivation to continue

Find some great books. There are plenty of books available - no short supply of inspirational books on how to do just about anything.

Webinars and teleseminars are available on-line.

YouTube is a great place to find a lot of great recordings and great videos.

Hire a mentor or a coach.

How about exercise...it will make you feel good quickly.

Music is a great tool. Turn on some music with a fast beat and start moving your body to the rhythm. It will make you fell good immediately.

Spend some time in nature. Go for a walk

Don´t forget to bring your dog when you go for a walk.
Animals are a great source for inspiration


It is very important that you sustain your inspiration and motivation while trying to reach your goals.


Just remember...Don´t rely on another person for your motivation!

What Kind of Magnet Are You?

                                                 Each of us acts like a magnet.......
                 We attract conditions that are in accord with our thoughts and energy.


Are you happy with who you are attracting to yourself?

We are all like magnets. We attract to ourselves reflections of who we are.

If you are attracting closed-minded, unhappy, angry, emotionally available, pessimistic or judgmental people into your life.... you might want to look in the mirror first before you continue to complain about the people in your life.

What kind of magnet are you?

Some people believe that "if I can only attract a happy person or a happy mate into my life....I will be happy"

Those people have it backwards. First you have to become happy before you will attract happy people and happy experiences into your life.

Happiness is a skill (or an inner muscle). It isn´t automatic. You have to work on it. The good thing is that you can become more skillful at "happiness" starting right now.
You just have to decide that you want to change your habits and become more happy.
It is up to you to do the work.

Remember that you cannot give away what you don´t have.
EX.....If I wanted to give away a dozen apples, I first have to have a dozen apples to give away.


Same thing with happiness or love or whatever it is that you want to attract into your life.
First you have to become it, in order to be able to attract it.

So you might want to examine first what kind of magnet that you are?

We don´t attract from what we want.....we attract from who we are.

If you don´t like the people around you, first take a good look at yourself and ask yourself...
Did I attract this into my life?

The good thing is that you can start changing it today.......by FIRST CHANGING YOURSELF.

If you don´t change you will continue to attract the same kind of people into your life.

It starts with you and it starts on the inside.....not the outside.

Don´t Allow Fear to Steal Your Dreams

Fear comes in many forms and it is a bully that will keep you from finding and accomplishing your dreams.

Be ware of the thief on the street that will steel your wallet and your money
But ware of the thief in your head that will steal your dreams!!!!

Recognize that fear is normal and that everybody will feel fear at some point in their life.


Common fears that will hold people back are

Fear of the unknown
Fear of not being good enough
Fear of not being loved
Fear of loss of security

Fear will always be part of life but with practice you can learn to handle fear.

Tip!
Learn to build your courage muscle. If you haven´t used it for a while it probably has gotten weak.
Yes........courage is like a physical muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.

Did You Know that NOT Forgiving Can be Dangerous to Your Health?

Is there someone in your life that you need to forgive?

                                                             FORGIVENESS
                                                Isn´t something we do for others.
                                          We do it so we can get well and move on

Do you believe that holding a grudge somehow continues to hold the wrongdoer accountable?

Did you know that as long as you hold a grudge, hurt or a disappointment, you are actually continuing to suffer the negative emotion of it. Also you continue to keep yourself connected to the very person that you are trying to let go of.

Do you know what happens physically to you when you continue to think about an event or a person that you can´t let go of?

Does it make you angry?

Does your blood pressure get elevated?

Did you realize that some people will actually suffer back pain and tension in their neck and shoulders because they are not being able to let go or forgive.

How about gastric distress or headaches?

All of this because they continue to hold on to a grudge or resentment.

The person that you are angry with have most likely moved on with their life and they might not even be aware of that you are still hanging on to a grudge or resentment. 
So isn´t it about time that you move on with yours?

Remember......you are probably the ONLY one suffering from not forgiving. You are the only one dragging around this burden with you.....everywhere you go.
After a while this burden gets very heavy to drag around with you.

Isn´t it about time that you give your body a break?

Forgive everyone and everything as soon as possible....INCLUDING YOURSELF.

Instead of rehashing the event....ask yourself

What have I learned from this event or this person?

What do I need to pay closer  attention to in the future?
 
How have I grown?

How have I changed?


People who genuinely forgive tend to be healthier and happier.

Life Lessons

We are all affected by what we know.

How can we learn more so that we can avoid the dangers out there and also be able to maximize opportunities in life?



Here are a few tips!

Learn from your own personal experience

A lot of times we will learn something right by first doing it wrong.

"WOW...that didn´t work out as I had planned" or "That experience was costly and hurtful".

Sometimes a negative experience can turn out to be a positive experience.
(If you learn from it and don´t repeat it again.)
It might even be a wake-up call.
Ex...After being diagnosed with diabetes you might decide to make a change in your lifestyle and your daily habits. You start reading all the books that you can find on health and nutrition. You might start to exercise on a regular base. Doing all this could dramatically change your life and your future.
If you change......things will change for you. But you must be willing to do the changes.


Learn from other peoples experiences.

It doesn´t matter if they are positive or negative.

If someone has messed up it life, wouldn´t you want to know how they messed up...so you won´t make the same mistake(s) as they did. Learning from other peoples mistakes is great and valuable information.

Also learn from peoples success stories. How they did it.
How they became financially independent. Or how they had successful relationships in their lives. Or how they were able to live a healthy lifestyle after having a heart attack.

Success leaves clues. But make sure you take notes.
Write it down. Don´t trust your memory.


Learn from what you see. Pay attention.

You can pick up a lot of information and great ideas by just watching. Be an observer of the winners and also the losers. The ones that are doing well in life and how they do it. Also pay attention to the ones that are falling behind. And learn what are they doing wrong.

Learn from what you hear. Be selective of what you will listen to.

You will need to find voices of value. People that have great success, ideas, experience and reputation.

Learn from reading as many books as you can.

If you are looking to become financially independent and getting out of debt, then you need to read books about financial independence. If you want to become a better parent, them you need to read books about parenting. If you want to improve your relationships in your life, you must read books on how to have better relationships. If you want better health and vitality in life, you must read books about health and fitness.

When you read you must learn to sort through the information that is valuable to you and what you are trying to accomplish. Always.... take notes

Gather the information that will apply to you.

Apply What You Know - Learn As You Go

You don´t have to have all the facts and information up front before you start something.
You can learn as you go.

I believe what prevents us from starting something new in life is that we don´t feel like we know enough and have enough information to get started.
So instead of searching for the answers and maybe even finding someone who has already accomplished what we are trying to do, we quit before we even get started.
Or we procrastinate because we believe we have to have the perfect game-plan before we get started.

If I look back on my own life, I have always been very curious on how things work.
If I didn´t know...... I was always willing to find out. Then I was willing to take action on it.

I remember when I decided in 2012 that I was going to go back to school, to become a certified life coach. I didn´t have a whole lot of information on how to exactly do that.
But I made a decision that I was going to go for it....... and I began to search for answers everywhere.
Books, The Internet, asking  a lot people. I was constantly collecting information to try to figure it out.
As I was constantly searching ..... answers and information started to show up.
I connected with new people and mentors that gave me answers and the information I needed.
They showed me the way.

When I stated my on-line coaching business in 2013, again.... I didn´t know how to do a lot of things. But I was willing to learn and was constantly searching everywhere for the information and the people that I needed to assist me.
When I learned something new, I applied it. Got good at it. Then it was time to learn something new, and then apply it. I was constantly learning and then applying what I had learned.
I still do. I am always looking for new ideas and better ways of doing things.

It is good to learn but you must also apply what you have learned or it won´t do you any good.

If you want to start something in life you can´t sit back and wait for things to happen.
You must actively go out into he world and start searching for things, information and people.

Never be afraid or embarrassed to ask. You can´t do it alone.

You don´t have to know everything before you start. Just start and learn as you go.
